Equal Voices Launch
Equal voices brand launch event 30.09.09 at the Routeways centre.
Lunch time event from 12.00 - 13.30, food provided.
It is with genuine excitement that I write to you with news and opportunities for you, your children and young people that come about as a result of merging three well known projects, Routeways Participation Team, PYA and the new Learn to Learn Together project. As part of this merger we are re-branding and want you to be the first to know.
Young reps Update
The Young Reps have been busy planning a range of activities over the
summer holidays. During their last session they investigated which of the Ten
Priorities they would liket o focus on and why. The group will meet throughout
the summer on a Monday night at the new dedicated space.

Play in Plymouth DVD Launch
DVD to be launched at Yealmpstone Farm Primary on the 13th July
Please be informed that the Play in Plymouth DVD that charts the redevelopment
of Yealmpstone Park will be aired at the local Primary School on Monday 13th July
at an assembly that starts at 10.00am. Parent/carers are invited to attend to see their
son or daughter receive their certificate and see a showing of the DVD.

The Participation team and PYA merge to deliver the exciting free summer programme!
Children and young people from the Woodview Learning community collaborate
Following some intese prepearation workshops with Twofour teh group put together scripts to act out and put across their stories on film.
The Auditorium at Barbican Theatre was booked, camera's at the ready, lights, action!!
The project agreed on an official name which will also be the name of the finished film, Beneath the Smile; Think, Listen, Learn.
The group worked really hard with the team of music leaders at Plymouth Music Zone and created a fantastic amount of music to accompany their film.

Children and young people interview Panel update
Children and young people prepare interview panel for Assistant Director of Life Long Learning
The Routeways Consultation Report 2008 is now available for download from the reports section of the website. The report details headline statistics from the 2007/08 consultation. The database for the consultation is available to view online here

The Participation Team attended the Zap Unwrapped training at Kidscape an anti bullying organisation in London last week.
They have also agreed to review the Children's Plan 2008 - 2011, which sets out the council's priorities for improving services for children and young people in Plymouth.
A group of children and young people have been working alongside key adult decision makers on the Children's Trust to represent your views and give them an insight into your experiences and ideas.
