Collaboration Benefits is itself a partnership between Bassac, Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE), Community Foundation Network (CFN), and the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR).
As a result of the VCS Forum sending William Woyka on the Collaboration Benefits Training Programme, two courses are available. The first is two day course is being delivered early in 2010 and the second will be repeated to be delivered later in 2010.
Collaboration Support Skills for Development Workers
Are you a development worker looking to offer support to community-based organisations that want to collaborate? This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to improve collaborative working among the organisations you work with and support. This course is aimed at those people who are working at grassroots level and who have involvement in encouraging organisations to work together and to collaborate.
The two-day training sessions will help you get a better understanding of:
• Good practice in facilitation and enabling collaborative working
• The benefits and challenges of collaborative working
• Critical success factors involved in collaborative working
• The policy context which is driving collaborative working
The above training will be available free on 18 February and 1 March 2010 in Plymouth. The same course will be repeated later in 2010. The Course is 10.00 to 1600 with lunch provided.
