What is the One Stop Job Shop?

One Stop Job Shop consultation

One Stop Job Shop provides a range of individual and group activities to support those who have experienced mental health issues, by helping them to progress towards and retain employment.

The following services are provided by a muli-disciplinary team:

  • Anxiety management and assertiveness groups 1:1 support
  • Horticultural activities
  • IT training
  • Experience of the working environment in the Coffee Shop
  • Support in finding, applying gaining and retaining work

We use a step by step approach with each individual setting their own goals and a starting point which is right for them. We look at paid employment, voluntary work, education, training and community involvement.

Routeways Based Services

Routeways based services offer placement opportunities, employment options and retention support for those experiencing issues in employment.

Employed but experiencing problems?
The retention provision of the project can assist the employer on how to retain valued staff and employees on how to retain employment through;

  • Supporting managers and employees
  • Identify the ability of individual to return to work and circumstances
  • Support in discussions concerning your illness with employer
  • Discuss suitable and reasonable adjustments that may be required in the workplace

  • Tailored individual support to achieve personal and employment goals
  • Identification of potential employment pathways
  • Support in formatting CV's reflecting personal strengths with assistance in employment searches and interview coaching

One Stop Job Shop coffee shop

The Coffee Shop
The Coffee Shop is a workplace volunteer project for people considering returning to work or training. It provides a vehicle to build: confidence, self esteem, gain experience and learn new skills.

The project is client led and volunteers gradually build on the tasks to achieve agreed goals. It aims to provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment. Volunteer positions are available to fit your individual needs.

Mental Health Awareness Courses
Changing workplace culture and attitudes takes time, but can be assisted with understanding and knowledge of conditions. Courses are available to promote mental health awareness, increasing the ability and confidence of participants to identify, manage and support staff or clients with mental health issues.
