Senior Lead Worker

We are looking for an experienced, keen and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Senior Lead Worker.

 

The role involves hands on work, whilst leading the dedicated team of staff and volunteers during recreational sessions, part of the Beckly programme of activities at our Centre in Plymstock. You may also be needed to support our young people attending local community events, trips and outings.

 

As our ideal candidate you will have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Youth Work/Play work or similar and 2 years experience working with and for disabled people.

 

You will have experience of inter-agency safeguarding practice. Good organisational, record keeping & planning skills; be flexible in working hours and location and have a genuine desire to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

 

Temporary Deputy Childcare Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Childcare Manager who is able to undertake the role of the Childcare Manager in their absence.

The key objectives of the role are:

· Contribute to the effective daily management of the nursery in accordance with company policies

· Work with different external agencies to ensure all legislations are met and good practice guidelines are adhered to

· Participate as a member of a team of adults working together to create and environment which promotes children’s development and learning

· Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children attending the nursery

· Ensure all agreed quality and safety standards are maintained in the nursery at all times

· To foster effective links with parents and carers

· In conjunction with the Childcare Manager work with all nursery staff to formulate long, medium and short term curriculum planning

· Adhere to the Equal Opportunity and Anti Discriminatory Practice policy promoting positive behaviour and attitudes

· To work in ratio with the children as required

Lead Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Practitioner for our busy 60 place Nursery.

The key objectives of the role are:

· Assisting the Childcare Manager and Deputy Manager in the management of staff and the welfare, learning and development of children in Alexandra House Nursery in accordance with company policies and procedures, all local authority and Ofsted regulations and the EYFS framework.

· To ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of all children attending Alexandra House Nursery

· To ensure all agreed quality and safety standards, policies and procedures are followed and maintained in the nursery at all times

· To provide quality learning and development for children in an inclusive, stimulating environment
