Holiday and Weekend Activity Groups
Our Short Breaks groups give young people the opportunity to take part in fulfilling and fun activities on weekends and during school holidays. This also help carers with their own life-balance by providing breaks from their care responsibilities.
We aim to provide enriching activity sessions to not just keep busy and active, but also expand horizons. Developing as a person is at the core of what we offer.
Direct Access Short Breaks
Direct access short breaks are accessible to any young person aged between 8 to 18 with additional needs who have either a SEND diagnosis or an EHCP .
Short breaks offer families additional support during school holidays as well as developing new skills and relationships for the young people. Activities are focused around outdoor and adventure activities.
Direct Access Short Breaks meet at Devonport Park Activity Centre on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays (During school holidays). Each session costs £20 per person.
Adventure Breaks
Adventure Breaks provides short break activities for children and young people aged between 8 to 18 with additional needs as part of local authority support package.
We provide a variety of adventure-based activities designed to build confidence, independence, and life skills. Adventure breaks is an active group which always endeavors to enjoy the outdoors. Sessions are off-site at a variety of community venues.
The Adventure Break groups meet at Devonport Park every Saturday and Thursday/Fridays during school holidays, 10:30am-3:30pm.
Weekend and School Holiday Provision
Weekend and School Holiday Provision is a specialist short breaks provision for individuals with complex additional needs, learning disability, or physical disability.
Short breaks offer families additional support on Saturdays and during school holidays as well as developing new skills and relationships for the young people.
